October is Archives Month across the country and here in the Puget Sound, we’re celebrating by offering free educational workshops and informational fairs to let the public know who archivists are, what we do, and what types of materials and repositories there are in the area.
The theme of Washington State Archives Month is “Fairs and Festivals,” and what better way to celebrate than by hosting a fair of our own, or even better, two fairs.

This year’s theme year also coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Century 21 Exposition (Seattle World’s Fair) which started in April of 1962. See my post on local resources for this fair.
